  • Imagine walking through a crowd
    • Hot
      • movement
    • Not a lot of room to move
      • directions
    • You see some dressed up, some not
    • Sometimes it can smell
      • sweat
    • Loud
      • Talking, cheering, music
    • Pressure to walk fast
      • not be in someone’s way
      • want to see everything there
      • buy something
    • Why would you be here?
      • Tickets
        • Early discount
        • Student
        • Waited for you wristband in the mail
      • You made travel plans
        • Where you’re staying
        • When you’re traveling
        • Drove or fly
      • You made plans with friends
        • Whether you travel there or stay with them
        • Where will you meet
        • What will you do in this crowd
      • Plan what to wear
        • How much effort?
        • Dress up or represent something you love
      • Waited in line for 45 minutes or more to be in this crowd
      • Went into a room filled with these people and music and noise to listen to someone you don’t know
    • But it’s exciting
      • It’s fun to see what everyone is wearing
        • Specific costumes
      • It’s fun to buy things you can’t find anywhere else just to bring back the memories
      • It’s fun to be with people who all like the same things you do
      • To see someone who you feel you know, maybe not personally, but through their talent
    • It’s fun to be at Comic Con
      • The plans you made, the line you waited in were all worth it
      • It was fun to see all the cosplay, people dressed up as their favorite characters. Maybe you dressed up yourself
      • Buying a necklace with 9 ¾ on it will be an awesome Harry Potter reference, but will also remind you of how your friend stood at that booth for nearly an hour before buying anything. But at least you ended up learning that she really likes the movie Alien
      • Maybe you get to hear the news from James Roday, the star of Psych that they are making a Psych Movie.
      • Yes, the crowd is still hot, and there isn’t much room, and it’s loud, but you all know why each other is there. So maybe it’s not really a bad thing, but more of a bonding thing
    • Some may think it’s a little strange, but being with lot of people who all like the same thing can actually be an experience that’s pretty familiar
